MAT PILATES

Mat Pilates is a full body exercise system that emphasizes deep core strength and spinal stability. The focus is on improving postural awareness, muscle balance and joint mobilization. This class has a maximum of 4 participants for individualized attention. Classes are offered at the essential (level 1) and intermediate (level 2) levels.

MAT/REFORMER PILATES

This class is a progression from Mat Pilates Levels 1 & 2 incorporating Pilates Reformer Equipment.  This class has a maximum of 4 participants for individualized attention. Knowledge of the principles of Pilates is required.  Mat Level 1, previous experience with Pilates equipment and/or private lessons are a prerequisite.

CIRCUIT/REFORMER COMBO

A full body muscle conditioning class using bands, stability equipment, body balls, Pilates Reformer Equipment, spin bikes etc. This class is for beginner to intermediate levels. Maximum of 8 participants per class in a circuit style.

BONE & JOINT HEALTH

A muscle conditioning class tailored to participants with Osteoporosis, Arthritis and or other chronic conditions. The focus of the class is to improve postural awareness, joint stability and mobility, muscular endurance, balance and agility. The class has a maximum of 8 participants for individualized attention. Each person has their own customized program and the class is run “circuit style” to enable use of a wide range of equipment.

SPIN & STRETCH

An energetic, non-impact cardiovascular conditioning class. It utilizes music and fun athletic drills to give you an invigorating workout that you can take at your own pace (gentle to intense!). Spinning for 45 mins (including warm up and cool down) is followed by 10 minutes of pilates style stretching using the mat or reformer.

PRIVATE CLASSES

Our personal Pilates trainers can create a plan that goes from gentle and supportive for beginners, to intense and rigorous for people wanting a challenging workout.

REHABILITATION & KINESIOLOGY SERVICES

Specialized one on one rehabilitation and kinesiology services (ICBC or other) can be arranged with owner Pia Jmioff (BHK, CSEP). Please enquire  for fees as these are individualized programs. 

POLICIES

CLASSES & SESSIONS

  • Each session is 8 weeks in duration.
  • Classes are for 8 weeks at a time.

NOTICE REQUIREMENTS

  • 24 hours notice is required if you cannot make a class and wish to attend another class.
  • A make-up class cannot be transferred to another session.

MISSED CLASSES

  • If you cannot make a class you signed up for, you may attend another class instead, if space is available. We do not refund for missed classes
  • If you sign up for an 8-week session, and cannot make the first class, the full session fee still applies

DROP-IN

  • If you choose not to  commit to an 8-week session, drop-in may be available if there is a space in the class.
  • The drop-in fee is different than the pre-registered fee.
